At Tribal Art Muse, we are dedicated to the preservation and celebration of African tribal art. As a non-commercial initiative, we combine extensive ethnographic research with curated collections to showcase the profound cultural heritage of Africa.
With more than 30 years of expertise, Stephane Brosset, alongside key contributions from Khan Key, has carefully developed this renowned Swiss private collection, which is now proudly featured on Tribal Art Muse. Together, we bring over 40 years of combined experience in safeguarding and sharing African cultural legacies.
In 2015, our commitment to African craftsmanship led to the publication of Wooden Dreams, the first comprehensive book dedicated to traditional East African headrests—many of which are part of our collection. This significant work underscores our dedication to the preservation and documentation of African artistry.
Tribal Art Muse is more than just a platform; it’s a bridge between the past and the present. Through thoughtful research, curation, and storytelling, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of African cultural heritage in a global context. We believe that by sharing the beauty and history of African art, we can ensure its legacy endures for generations to come.
